Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of debriefD (the "Service"), operated by debriefD ("we","us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

debriefD ingests text feedback you submit (forwarded emails, pasted messages, notes) and returns AI-generated output — suggested tasks, a reply draft, clarifying questions, and scope-risk alerts. Output is generated by third-party AI models and is provided for your review. You are responsible for approving, editing, or discarding it before relying on it.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One person or business per account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or violates the law.
• Submit content you do not have permission to share with us (see the Privacy Policy for how we handle client content).
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or proprietary systems.
• Use the Service to build a competing product.
• Resell, sublicense, or share access to the Service without our written permission.

4. Plans and billing

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods, but we will work with you in good faith on edge cases. Prices, usage limits, and features may change with at least 14 days notice for existing paid users.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the feedback text you submit and the output you approve. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to operate the Service: routing it through our infrastructure and our AI providers, storing it to compute your usage and our edit-rate metric, and surfacing it back to you. We do not sell your content. We do not use it to train third-party AI models. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

6. AI output

AI-generated output is a starting point, not the final word. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of context. Always review before sending a reply, billing a client, or pushing tasks. We are not liable for decisions you make based on unreviewed AI output.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may schedule maintenance and make changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or are non-paying after a reasonable grace period.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or expose us to legal or financial risk. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimer, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above. For material changes, we'll email you. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
